...I am a teacher of Mathematics at Marymount University and a recently retired Earth Scientist from the NASA - Goddard Space Flight Center. I have SB and PhD degrees in Mathematics from MIT and Cornell. I strongly believe that I have the communication skills and training required to make students overcome any math anxiety or math related fear. If a student understands a certain topic very well, I will return to that topic when teaching other topics to show the similarity between them and so they feel comfortable with the new material. Similarly I can give them a glimpse of what future Math classes will involve, so that they can be prepared when that time arrives.
