William has continued his horse-riding lessons,
and is starting to learn how to jump. Each week, the students are presented with a roster
of stable-mounts from which to choose that day's ride. Some horses are a little more "spirited"
than others.

William, desparately trying to look cool, while
waving back to his (terribly un-cool) mother.
William has joined the local Webeloes troop. Here, he marched
with the Scouts in the Memorial Day Parade.

"This is Captain William speaking. We are
currently cruising at an altitude of fifteen feet, and our airspeed is approximately...
zero knots. We thank you for flying United."

William's club announced a "Crazy Hair" contest
when he was already overdue for a haircut. Having lost the previous contest, he was willing
to get extreme. He picked out purple hair gel and green hair spray at our local WallyWorld;
then we waited another week before shaving both sides of his head. This was the result.
Oh, yeah; he won.

William got to start his Uncle Dave's Army truck all by
himself (by pushing the button). Here, he is holding up his "new friend", a recently-
deceased mole that he found while walking in the woods behind the pond. He also got to
see fireflies in the evening and watch deer and fawns in the morning, right from his bedroom
window. Aunt Mary's house was fun!

William visits his Nana. He rode with her in her big pickup
truck, had lunch with her at a local food court, and swung on her porch while telling her
about the fun he'd had at the Air Force Museum. And Nana gave William a present that Pappa,
before he died, had set aside especially for him.

During our summer visit, Gramma took William to Kid's Kove,
a fudge store, and a fun kid's museum. We all had a blast.

Meet William's cousins: Josh (on the ground), Chris, Andy,
Joey, Alex, and Casey (on Alex's lap). In this picture, they're all in their back yard
in Dearborn.
