...During my first year of undergrad, I was at the United States Military Academy at West Point and served as a CEP Tutor there for Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Differential Equations, Math Modeling, and Chemistry there. ...Since everyone who has taken Calc knows Algebra, this approach tends to give them a lot more confidence in their abilities. When I teach Calculus I focus on showing students the most efficient way of tackling seemingly impossible problems with just a little bit of strategic algebraic manipulation. This makes those very messy problems clean up very nicely afterward. (read more)
