Steve A. ...I try to use real world examples whenever possible, and what I wanted in a prospective employee when I was responsible for hiring actuaries at my company. I use positive reinforcement and engage my students in the learning process by using the inquiry method of learning as much as possible. I have the ASA designation and am a member of the SOA and American Academy of Actuaries.
