...Later, I began learning piano, and in college I began my academic study of music with a music theory class my freshman year. Piano lessons, voice work as part of music theory class, and the theory classes themselves have given me a firm understanding of the basics of music, and many more advanced topics as well. Writing is one of my biggest strengths.

...The software allows us to talk in real time (just like we're on Skype or on the phone), and we see and work the same problems together. I've taught in classrooms, over the kitchen table, and I have to say that the online experience is by far the best. We cover more material faster, it's much more convenient for our schedules, and I can email you PDFs of all of the problems that we did.

...My background also includes work as an instructor for a nuclear power plant. I like to give students practice and help them find the answers in the book and resources that have been given to them. I will also provide additional suggestions for websites where they can obtain additional information for their coursework.

...In addition to my courses, I worked as a TA in the department for Basic Statistics last year. I attended undergraduate at Claremont McKenna College, a small liberal arts college near Los Angeles, where I majored in math and philosophy. I received departmental honors in both my majors and graduated magna cum laude.
