I was surprised to find out that the high school teachers never care about students' grades and SAT tests in the US, so I tutored my two kids for their high school math, chemistry, physics and SAT subject tests. Since Differential Equations is a very detailed and procedural subject, my methods for tutoring it involve practicing it enough that 'stupid mistakes' do not come about as frequently for my students. This is important, as one tiny mistake can change the entire problem.
