...It is fun for me and I try to show my enthusiasm and enjoyment whenever I teach any subject in Math. As a substitute teacher in two different school districts, there are a large number of jobs that are able to be chosen in a given time period. Since I know Reading is one of the most important, if not the most important, subjects to learn and to teach, I often take a job as a Reading teacher. (read more)

...As we work together I watch them learn to ace the American way of interviewing and it's wonderful to hear when they get into a program of their choice in an intensely competitive environment. I help 5-10 students every year with interview prep. I have been working with students of all ages but primarily those writing personal statements for residency programs as foreign medical graduates. ...The students I have tutored have seen dramatic improvement in test scores and overall class grades. I have received direct feedback from professors and parents letting me know how much my tutees have improved. I believe it is very important to pay attention to the student's individual needs, rather than treating each student in the same way. (read more)
