...The focus areas of my tutoring were math and science. While at the University of North Texas, I worked for the Mathematics Department as a grader for several College Algebra courses. After graduating from the Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science in 2006, I moved to Daytona Beach, FL to attend Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University majoring in Aerospace Engineering.

...Teaching Philosophy:
In high school, students are often taught ‘how’ to attack a problem (memorization), but rarely do teachers shed light on the ‘why’ students are doing what they are doing. I believe that if students understand the ‘why,’ good grades and great test scores will follow suit. All students can learn math ‘tricks,’ but those who understand the ‘why’ can invent them.

...I have also tutored college students at the Dallas County Community College District for three years. As a college tutor, I helped students with mathematics, natural sciences, and social sciences. Currently, I work at different tutoring centers working with students from grade level 1 through college.

...I was a service manager at HEB for a year. I volunteered for Special Olympics for seven years until I moved to Dallas to complete my Electrical Engineering degree at University of Texas at Dallas. I have volunteered for Texas Lions Camp for the past two years, where I worked with kids, ages ranging from 5 to 16, with Type 1 Diabetes.
