However, once I started in Calculus classes at Northwestern, I found that I really enjoyed math. The number one reason I became a teacher was that math was not always easy, but since I persevered through the high school curriculum, I was very successful at Northwestern.

I tried to get students to work in class as much as possible so I could walk around and get one-on-one time with the students who struggled. I do my best to never write on the students paper and have them do the work and tell me "Why" they did that.
