Ashley M. ...I rarely sought out tutors and when I did I rarely found them helpful. It wasn't until I started to tutor myself that I realized why I wasn't benefiting from the tutoring I was receiving--the tutor was not in sync with the way I learned best. Therefore, I believe it is extremely important to grasp how the student learns best and personalize the tutoring to fit each student's personal style.
