Noel S. ...In grammar, I focus specifically on articles (easy) and gender (seems hard but is very easy; it all goes back to Latin, e.g. La Patrie [“The Fatherland”] is female – hence why countries like Britain have a female gender, e.g. “The Motherland,” or “Mother Russia”) because “Patrie” ends in -e. Almost all French nouns that end in -e is female by gender, with specific exceptions.
