...The frontal lobe is not typically fully developed until age 25, therefore the executive function  the organizing aspect of their brain  needs help to be activated. Often, students have their own way that works best for them in relation to studying, but they may not have discovered their most effective methodology. Not everyone learns best through the use of flash cards.

...In these sessions I help students complete homework and do extra practice in areas where student is struggling. The past four years I taught 4th grade, and I previously taught 2nd grade and special education for a variety of grade levels. I tutored 4th grade students oneonone after school and also taught a standardized testing preparation program on Saturdays.

...I have raised a dyslexic son who is now 40 years old. While he was growing up, I worked in a special ed classroom in junior high where dyslexic students were taught reading and writing. I have also identified dyslexic students in higher education classrooms, and worked with them as they completed their assignments.

In addition, I have utilized Markov Chains to analyze transition state changes and the way objects proceed from one stage to the next. I have utilized linear algebra in discussing mapping changes from a three dimensional to a two dimensional plane.
