Geometry is all about shapes and most of these shapes can be broken down into triangles. "Triangles are your friend", I tell my students. Dave G. ...During my MS in Physics, I migrated the huge, legacy Fortran "2d plasma" code of UMD to "3d" code, which means it now used cylindrical equations instead of cartesian ones.
