...I have learned that I am good at identifying the difficulty and helping the student around it, no matter what their age. Precalculus is the beginning of the more theoretical math classes, and, as such, is less concrete than students are generally used to. One thing that I try to do in this case is to help the student regain the firmer footing that came with algebra, and seems missing here.
