In addition to having my teaching certificate in special education, I have my M.S. in Urban Education/Special Education from the University of Pennsylvania. More recently, I was the special education manager for a K-8 charter school based in NYC.

...I am a huge language nerd and love helping my students to master English and Spanish for conversation, class work or standardized tests. Math is another subject I love to unlock with my students, who have seen dramatic improvements in their skills after working with me. ...When I tutored after college, my business slowly expanded based purely on referrals and word of mouth. I think a personal relationship between myself and my clients is very important for learning to take place. Many a student has gotten bad scores simply because their teachers failed to engage them in a subject.
