...I taught 8th grade English for one year at a school in Tucson. I have taught 5th grade math at a private school. I believe because I have taught higher maths, that I am more aware of the need to teach certain concepts more in depth and sometimes differently than a curriculum explains.

...I was a classroom teacher for 7 years, and had been working as an instructional assistant the 9 years before that. Those tutored by me have seen huge jumps in test scores (namely basis comps and precomps). Those who tutor with me also get a free IXL account to track student's progress and further train them. ...I earned a Bachelor of Science in Physics from A.S.U. and am currently getting a Masters in Science Education from N.A.U.. With my students I like to use lots of example problems and focus on real world applications. There is a beauty in math and science that is often obscured by traditional education. If I can provide students with a glimpse of that, I feel most successful.
