Christopher W. ...Either way, tutoring must occur with expectations that I am working with a student who is transitioning from Arithmetic to Algebra. The biggest difference in Pre-Algebra is the introduction of functions and handling mathematics problems in a structure procedural manner. Student who were great at earlier math could easily 'pop' the answer doing it just in their heads.
