...I worked directly with the Dean of the College of Science and Technology as an undergraduate research student and was able to present my research at an annual university convention. While at University of HoustonDowntown I was offered a paid tutoring position in the math department. I have previous tutoring experience on a one on one basis with multiple people.

I received a BS degree in chemistry (summa cum laude) from the Universidad Central “Marta Abreu” de Las Villas (UCLV), Cuba in 2003. Afterward, I received the MS in applied mathematics at UCLV in 2008. Due to my contributions in the fields of reliability of measurements, I was awarded a PhD degree in mathematics (probability theory and mathematical statistics) from the UCLV in 2014.
