Sal V. ...I agree strongly with psychologist Carol Dweck's theory of the "growth mindset" that success has to little to do with inherent "smartness" and comes from effort, practice, and learning from errors. I prefer to allow students to explore multiple ways to solve a problem. I believe that reasoning out a formula is far better than memorizing it.
