The parabola along with the other Conic Sections might also be taught after the basic line, slope, and equations. My tutoring involves finding out very quickly while the student and I are working on a concern where the student might have the most difficulty and reteach that topic again.

Emily M. ...Science and math, unlike some other subjects, don't depend on natural aptitude to signal success. Instead, success depends only on how hard students are willing to work on it. To this end, I expect all of my students to work, but I don't expect them to understand the material the first (or fifth) time around.
