Bosko C. ...So, our expression has this form now: x^2-3x+2x-3*2=x*(x-3)+2*(x-3)=(x+2)*(x-3). So, our quadratic equation looks like this: (x+2)*(x-3)=0. This will be equal to zero only if: x+2=0 or x-3=0. That means that solutions for this quadratic equations are x1=-2 and x2=3.
