Laurel S. I have been working as an individual tutor for almost nine years. I am currently pursuing a PhD in theoretical physics (high energy particle theory) at UCSC. Over the past five years, I have led lab sections and discussion sections for numerous physics courses, and just recently I lectured the introductory physics course.

Samuel P. ...I also passed the English Writing and Composition Advanced Placement test which earned me credit for the 100 level English class at the University. I took a further 3 writing-based English classes at the University en route to graduation. I find the ACT English to be made up in most part of basic grammar components which must be practiced and understood in all forms.

Gary F. ...F. believes that "drill and kill" problem solving sessions are necessary for developing an efficient, almost reflexive approach to problem solving, his primary emphasis is always on the why behind the subject matter, not the mechanics of problem solving. Dr. F has consistently found that those students who grasp “the why” can easily learn the mechanics.
