...I was the Wardrobe Supervisor for a full-length Broadway style musical starring upwards of 80 girls and 8 adult actors. Although it was not part of the job description, I and the rest of the backstage staff took it upon ourselves to train the girls to be young professionals both onstage and off. ...I have taken over two years of programming in Pascal and a year of programming in C. The proverbial theory is that once you've learned one programming language, learning a second one is trivial. I don't fully subscribe to this theory, but C and Pascal are so similar in structure and syntax that it feels as though I've taken over three years of programming in both.

...I tutor my high school grand daughter occasionally although she is in honors math. I don't teach techniques but need to understand how your teacher wants you to work a problem. Believe me, even in college, when you hit that wall and nothing seems to work, just having someone explain what you missed in the previous lessons or missed in your note taking is all it takes.
