...In my experience, I look to find a method that works best for the student. I am a big believer in Howard Gardner's theory on Multiple Intelligences. This theory suggests that every individual has a set of 8 intelligences, but individuals may be more advanced in certain intelligences than others and vice versa.

...My most recent student contacted me on 5/7/12 to tell me that, after our lessons, she had improved her composite ACT score from a 28 to a 32! The science portion of the ACT requires a strong ability to analyze scientific data, and to interpret graphs and tables. My teaching background is in Biology & Chemistry, which has fully prepared me to tutor the science portion of the ACT.
