I have a lot of experience teaching algebra, and I work at whatever pace my students need to be sure that they master the material and are comfortable with the topic before moving on to a new topic. I believe that a strong foundation in algebra is critical to doing well in algebra 2, and the SAT and ACTs.

John Y. ...The advantage of working in a one-on-one setting is that I can meet the student at his or her level of understanding and progress through the material in a logical way from that point. I believe in working at the student's pace and taking the time to fill gaps in foundational knowledge. It is critical that the student constructs understanding through his/her own reasoning.
