John P. ...I just finished a semester of student teaching at the Keene Central School in New York. I worked closely with students in calculus and physics classes, helping them to both understand concepts and apply these concepts to problem solving. I greatly enjoyed teaching the students in Keene, especially seeing the satisfaction they got when they finally grasped an elusive concept.

Neemisha M. ...It is important that students keep up with the work level and keep up with practicing. Prior to becoming a New York City Teaching Fellow, I enjoyed tutoring students from the elementary level to the GED/High School Equivalency level. I still enjoy tutoring because it allows me more one-to-one time to invest in my students and tailor differentiated lessons to their areas of academic difficulty.
