John Y. ...The mantra to repeat on the Writing section is, "Get rid of the junk." Distill each clause into its subject, verb, and object by omitting the modifiers and appositives. "The boy examines the document." There really aren't many ways to trick the ear, so I will show you how to spot all the ones...
