I care passionately about coaching students into developing deep, transferable understandings of the subjects they study, and I emphasize thinking skills over rote memorization.

In obtaining a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, I have had to utilize all forms of math from basic algebra, to a daily use of differential equations. Math describes physics, which I am in the business of understanding on a daily basis.

Larry P. ...I use the Barron's book for the national tests. In my opinion it is the most difficult and if a student does well with Barron's then the regular test should be much easier. I believe that math is fun and that overcoming many students' phobia about math is the key to success.

Teddy Z. ...In my second year I studied proof based math, including analysis and numerical analysis. In high school, I was a member of my schools math honor society, a competitor at mathematics competitions, and earned a 7/7 on the International Baccalaureate Mathematics SL test. I also have experience tutoring my brother in algebra and geometry as well as helping fellow students grasp math concepts.
