...Since I started tutoring, I was always approached by parents who wanted to strengthened their children's foundations in mathematics, whatever the math course was. Hence, I felt that it was important that the student showed improvement. If the student is already doing well but then the parent wanted the student to be continually monitored, I also took that into consideration. (read more)
...Calculus has a natural connection to science, especially Physics, so I make those connections whenever possible. I also find real-world applications for the Calculus concepts so students see how relevant the math is to their lives. When I teach math concepts such as Geometry/Math 2, I try to make it more engaging for the student by connecting the math concepts to other subjects. (read more)
