Letting the students become hands on in an activity based setting increases learning and will allow them to teach back the material. Mark R. ...In undergraduate school, I had specifically taken College Algebra and Trigonometry, in addition to Calculus in order for me to have a strong background in the principles that follow in Calculus. My approach is to look at how Pre-Calculus is an extension of Algebra and Trigonometry and focus on the merging point. In high school, I had an entire year devoted to Trigonometry.
