David F. ...Often times, when teaching, students tell me "just show me how to work the problem." I understand that knowing how to work the problem is the most important thing, and that is what I focus on. I approach mathematics with applications in mind. I have a B.S. in physics and to me, math is a vehicle for arriving at solutions to problems, which are too complex to be solved intuitively.
