David T. ...From my experience, I know there are often multiple ways to do a problem and certainly multiple ways to explain it. I also realize that with a student that is having difficulty it takes time for things to "click" and so I am very patient. Often it's a case of "holes" in someone's background affecting their understanding of new concepts.

Moreover, I try to be flexible about meeting with students and do my best to accommodate my the student's preferences. Depending on the situation, I can meet with my student at their residence, at the local library or any other location that is convenient to my student.
