When teaching languages (I offer English, Spanish, Italian, and French), it is necessary to spend as much time as possible communicating or attempting to communicate in the language learned- this is pretty intuitive. Other subjects, such as history, math, and music, also require immersion in less obvious ways when you are studying them.
