In undergraduate school, I had specifically taken College Algebra and Trigonometry, in addition to Calculus in order for me to have a strong background in the principles that follow in Calculus. My approach is to look at how Pre-Calculus is an extension of Algebra and Trigonometry and focus on the merging point.
