My favorite classes to tutor are AP Calculus (AB), Calculus, Pre-Calculus , and Algebra (I or II). I am currently teaching mathematics and astronomy at a private school full time. James T. ...But just as important as the mastery of the technical concepts is the ability to communicate those concepts to a student so that he/she can solve the problems on their own, especially on an exam. I'm a strong communicator and I'm very attuned to the signs and signals of whether a student is engaged or just not getting it. If needed we adjust so that real learning happens.
