I taught high school math before going into the business world and sales and sales management.

Jerome T. ...I show them how to convert between degrees and radians, how to find various trig and inverse trig functions and how to relate their studies to the real world. Since I have been working with college level trig students for several years, I have a rich, deep understanding of the subject. Much of my engineering background involved trig also.

In Calculus II, we move on to "How do we obtain the area under the curve, and what does that area tell us?" We again start with the basic principle - Riemann sums.
