Ethan S. ...One reason may be simply that the student's instructor taught at too quick of a pace for all his students to keep up. Another reason may be that the student struggled with a one concept that was the building block for additional concepts. Since these subjects are built layer-upon-layer, if one of the lower layers is weak, everything built upon that one will also be weak.
