Prior to teaching, I spent 25 years with a the high technology company, Texas Instruments developing customized integrated circuits for cars, cell phones and computers.

...This is my favorite subject to teach, why? Because there are multiple ways to find the right answer, and I can always find a way to help the student understand the material in their own way. Furthermore, I like to use dry erase boards and simplify the equations down to workable easy solutions.

...I briefly taught at the University of Houston as a TA and this is how I discovered I really enjoy teaching. While at UH, I taught chemistry lab, but I also worked with students on their math and physics courses. My love for teaching now has brought me here to WyzAnt where I am hoping to find students who I can explain in easier terms what they are having problems in.

...Student are taught how to set of and solve elementary word problems. Algebra 2 basically introduces the notion of a function, and it extends this notion to a variety of different types of functions. We see polynomial, exponential, logarithmic functons and more.
