Illa M. ...I find that successful students are those that have learned methods to do the following: organize and plan their time, take a broad subject and break it down into "digestible" portions, and understand what is required for an exam/assignment and work with that goal in mind. Some people have a natural affinity for these skills, but even if you don't, everyone can learn! I can help.

Thomas C. ...When I teach algebra, I use a conversational approach to try to remove the subject from the formalities of the classroom and thereby make it more accessible and less intimidating. Algebra 2 is an important subject that helps students develop skills required in precalculus and higher math. I have a Ph.D. in chemistry with a strong background in mathematics.
