Deb B. ...There are lots of different ways to present a concept—visually, through example, drawing pictures—and I am excellent at figuring out the best approach for each of my students. I especially like to tell my students that I like it when they get a problem wrong, because that is a learning opportunity. They learn a lot more from correcting their errors than from getting everything right.

Matthew M. ...Special Educators (in my very humble opinion) make great tutors because we're used to working with struggling students in a small group or individual setting. Plus, because of the nature of special education, you need to have a deep knowledge base about multiple subjects. On any given day, you could be helping a student with an essay, or algebra, or a health project, or a history paper.
